What I love most about Disneyland, other than the gift shops, is that everything is done with excellence here. It’s all about this kids and it’s all perfected right down to the smallest details. It’s a philosohy that can be modeled and adopted in any business or lifestyle. And this is because Disneyland is focused on a very clear path: to be the happiest, best, most entertaining place on earth. And they succeed, especially for the children.
So, I honestly thought I would not have much to do for the first few days (or weeks!) after leaving my corporate job…boy, was I off the mark! It almost seems like I’m busier now than ever before! Time just flies every day as I find my new routine.
It’s been a shift in mindset to say the least. Knowing I am responsible for my own hours of work, play, and everything in between. I’ve caught myself a few times getting lost in house work or other little things that really aren’t that high on the priority list and I have to consciously change focus. I fully understand that I am still in transition and it will take me more than 7 days to develop a routine that works. Especially since I’m developing and updating my business infrastructure so there is a lot more work to be done now than there will be once that’s all in place. I have a great team behind me, though, and I am focused on success.
The emotions have calmed down and the overwhelming supply of opportunity is humbling to say the least. I have booked speaking engagements all the way to the end of summer and have made more great connections with people. It’s almost as if the Universe was waiting for me to shift my focus here. I am just loving it and making course adjustments as I go along. I’ll keep you posted on my journey.

I’ve taken a bit of a mental break from work for the last week or so. It’s done wonders for my energy and my focus. I’ve noticed that even though I’ve stopped working the universe has not. And that humbles me and excites me at the same time!
I’ve been playing with the idea of putting together a meditation recording becuase my meditation group has been a lot of fun and great value for those who participate. I can do the voice and the only thing I would need would be some music. I’m not sure if there are sources of pre-made music that you can purchase or not. My idea didn’t go much beyond the original thought of “wouldn’t it be fun to do this..”
At my daughter’s birthday party recently I met one of her friend’s moms. She is a beautiful soul and has such amazing and calm energy about her. We got to chatting and she said her husband is a composer!! He writes music for commercials and other sources and she said he loves to work with an idea and just run with it! Perfect!! So when I’m ready to make my idea into reality I have a potential source of music and a recording expert.
This is the week that my life changes for good. I have had to really focus on allowing this change to happen. I have lots of exciting opportunities and I know that the first step is the longest stride. The emotions of experiencing this change have been diverse and I’m grateful for this experience and everything it’s taught me.
